Learn acupuncture points (we won’t put needles in, but our fingers on top of them!) on your body that make energy flow harmoniously in your body and overcome common pains and physical problems, such as: headaches, difficulty with sleep, back pain, tendonitis, menstrual problems, etc.!
How magical touch can be!
That’s why we want to immerse ourselves in Chinese medicine for a whole day! To feel wonderful and have tools for your daily life.
The points you’ll learn come from a method called Jin Shin Do Acupressure, which is an innovative mixture of Japanese acupressure, Chinese medicine and some Western Psychology. It’s a body-mind approach to get the energy moving so that you can feel wonderful in your body and balanced in your emotions.
“Jin Shin Do” means “The Way of the Compassionate Spirit.” Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® classes teach the use of gentle yet deep finger pressure on specific acu-points and verbal Body Focusing techniques, to help release “armoring” or chronic tension, balance the “Qi” or energy, and improve vitality. This clothes-on method helps relieve stress- and trauma-related problems.
Acupressure Jin Shin Do is particularly helpful to balance disturbing emotional states and physical difficulties (back or sciatic problems, headache, menstrual difficulties or other problems). It is also indicated for people that cannot receive massages (cancer patients, pregnant women or people with pain from fibromyalgia). Comfortable clothes are suggested for this treatment.
Jin Shin Do® Bodymind Acupressure® is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment or cure of disease. It is a relaxation therapy, and a useful adjunct to licensed, qualified medical or psychological care. For any persistent pain or symptom, even a seemingly minor one, the reader is strongly encouraged to consult a medical doctor. When used in conjunction with standard medical treatment, the Jin Shin Do® Acupressure technique can assist the healing process by releasing tension, decreasing stress and encouraging a sense of increased well-being.
